The Khopra Mohare Community Trekking is an extraordinary trekking that unveils the hidden treasures of Annapurna’s highlands. The unique Khopra Community Trekking is designed to showcase of remote village life, diverse local cultures, and the mind-blowing beauty of the Annapurna Khopra region. Merging two beautiful viewpoints – Muldai View Point and Khopra View Point, Khopra Community  Trekking provides an up-close view of the giant Dhaulagiri Himalayan range and massive Annapurna Himalayan Range. And most importantly, it’s all about promoting community-based trekking in Nepal, creating a special and must-experience package.

This Khopra Mohare Community Trekking kicks off from Kathmandu with a scenic drive to Pokhara, covering around 200 kilometers. From Pokhara, it’s another 91 kilometers to reach the starting point, Beni Bazaar. This Khopra Mohare Community Trekking combines two incredible destinations, beginning with Mohare Danda (Hill). You’ll navigate through ascending and descending trails, passing villages, settlements, ridges, valleys, and forests. Along the way, you’ll find community lodges or homestays for your overnight stays.

Starting by crossing the Kali Gandaki bridge, you’ll hike up to Mallaj, passing through small villages and cultivated fields until you reach Bas Kharka. The journey continues to Nagi or Nangi, and ultimately leads you to Mohare Danda at 3313 meters. It takes around 3 days to reach this point, and Mohare Danda is located to the east of Beni.

The second part of theKhopra Mohare Community Trekking takes you to Khopra Danda (Hill), situated at 3640 meters and to the north of Mohare Danda. After leaving Mohare, you’ll pass by another popular vantage point called Poonhill. From Poonhill, the trail leads to Ghorepani and then to Swanta, a charming village nestled between high valleys. From Swanta, you’ll ascend to Upper Chistibang at Shika, spending a night there before hiking to the magnificent Khopra Danda. This hidden gem offers panoramic views in all directions, a real treat at 3640 meters.

From Khopra Danda, the adventure continues to Khayar Lake at 4660 meters, a stunning hidden lake on the slope of Annapurna South. After visiting the lake, you’ll return to Khopra Danda. The return trail takes you via Dobato to Tadapani and down to Ghandruk, known for its beauty and the warm Gurung community. Spending a night in Ghandruk, you’ll descend to Nayapul via Birethanti the following morning. From Nayapul, you’ll take a vehicle back to Pokhara and then Kathmandu, concluding your Khopra Mohare Community Trekking experience.

The Khopra Mohare Community Trek is moderately rated and requires around 5-6 hours of walking through varied terrains. The ideal times for this trek are during Summer, Autumn, Spring, and the months of September, October, November, December, March, April, and May. You’ll embark on a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, a city known for its stunning lakes and mountain views. The journey takes you through picturesque landscapes and charming villages.

From Pokhara, you’ll drive to Beni Bas Kharka. This is the starting point of your trekking adventure. The drive offers glimpses of rural life and introduces you to the beauty of the region.

Your trekking adventure begins! You’ll trek from Beni Bas Kharka to Nangi, passing through picturesque villages and enjoying the tranquility of the natural surroundings.

Today’s trek takes you to Mohare Danda, situated at an altitude of 3313 meters. The trail offers ascending and descending sections as you soak in the stunning views of the Himalayan range.

Continue your trek from Mohare Danda to Swanta. The trail winds through beautiful landscapes, and you’ll have the opportunity to interact with the local communities and learn about their way of life.

As you trek to Dhankharka and then to Khopra Danda, you’ll be surrounded by lush forests and pristine natural beauty. Arriving at Khopra Danda, you’ll be treated to panoramic mountain views.

n exciting day awaits as you hike to Khayar Lake, the highest point of your trek at 4,660 meters. The lake’s serene beauty amidst the mountains is a sight to behold. After the hike, you’ll return to Khopra Danda.

Today’s trek takes you from Khopra Danda to Dobato. The trail provides a change of scenery, and you’ll pass through varying landscapes on your way to Dobato.

As you trek from Dobato to Ghandruk, you’ll experience the charm of this famous Gurung village. The trail offers cultural insights and fantastic mountain vistas.

Drive back to Pokhara. The trekking trail takes you through charming villages and terraced fields.

Your return journey to Kathmandu begins today. Enjoy the scenic drive, reflecting on the incredible experiences and memories you’ve gathered during the trek.
