Rest and acclimatization are vital for a successful trek. Namche Bazaar offers the perfect setting for this. An early morning hike to Kala Patthar rewards us with a panoramic sunrise view of the Everest Himalayas. Descending to Gorak Shep, we continue towards Dzongla, our next destination before the Chola Pass crossing.

Today marks the challenging ascent of the Chola Pass at 5,420m. The pass offers stunning views but demands caution due to its steep and icy sections. We then descend to Thangnak, located near the Gokyo Lakes.
