This trek follows the traditional route of the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek for the first few days. You will pass through picturesque villages and lush forests of rhododendron, pine, and oak. After reaching Ghorepani, the trail diverges from the traditional route and heads towards Khopra Ridge. Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, we will help you settle at the hotel after we pick you up from the airport. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Leaving Kathmandu, we will move to Pokhara, which is a 6-hour long drive along the curvy highway surrounded by green hills, beautiful rivers, and villages. Upon arrival in Pokhara, we will check in the hotel, and after that, you can go around the lakeside area and spend some time there boating or just relaxing. We will spend the night in Pokhara.
Enjoying the backdrop of Machhapuchhre (6997m), we will drive to Nayapul from Pokhara. From Nayapul, we will start our trekking journey to Tikhedhunga along the terraced farms, small villages, and lush forests with breathtaking views of Annapurna South (7219m) and Machhapuchhre (6997m).
Ascending alongside Bhurundi Khola for a while, we reach Tikhedhunga. We will stay overnight at a guesthouse in Tikhedhunga.
We will trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani, which is approximately 5 hours of ascending alongside Bhurungdi Khola. On the way, we will catch glimpses of rivers, forests, and the unparalleled beauty of the mountains. The views are a delight to the eyes as we make our way to Ghorepani through the thick and vibrant rhododendron and oak forests. We will stay overnight in Ghorepani.
Today we will hike to Poon Hill early in the morning to see the magnificent sunrise over the mountains. The peaks of Dhaulagiri (8167m), Tukuche Peak (6920m), Annapurna (8091m), Baraha Shikhar (7847m), Annapurna South (7219m), Annapurna III (7855m), Machhapuchhre (6997m), Annapurna IV (7525m), and Lamjung Himal (6931m) and so on appear absolutely ravishing from the top of Poon Hill. After enjoying the views for a while, we will head down to Ghorepani and will trek to Tadapani. We will stay overnight in Tadapani.
Through the lush forest of rhododendron along with the views of Annapurna South (7219m) and Hiunchuli (6441m), we make our way to Dobato from Tadapani. The beautiful green trails are dotted with small settlements and few temples revered by the Gurung locals. The peak of Annapurna South (7219m) appears even more beautiful upon arriving in Dobato. We will stay overnight in Dobato.
Today we will trek to Chistibang from Dobato, which takes about 6 hours. We will ascend with the views of clear streams, green hills, and small villages along the way. It will be thrilling and tiring, but the breathtaking views of Annapurna South (7219m), Annapurna I (8091m), and Nilgiri (7061m) will make us forget about the sore muscles. We will stay overnight at a lodge in Chistibang.
Today is the day that we will trek from Chistibang to Khopra Danda. The bumpy yet beautiful trials will lead us to see amazing views of the mountains, thick clouds, and of course the amazing greenery of untouched nature. From the top of Khopra Danda, amazing views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges can be witnessed. We will stay overnight in Khopra Danda.
The most exciting day is here as we will hike to Khayar Lake. This lake is right beside the mountains, so get your cameras ready to capture this beauty. Revered as sacred, Khayer Lake is often visited by Hindu pilgrims. The snowcapped mountains and the crystal clear blue lake provide you a view you’ve never seen before. We will then hike back to Khopra Danda and stay overnight there.
Leaving Khopra Danda, we will descend through the dense forest to reach Paudwar village, which is a small village with beautiful mud houses and farms. The green farms and farm animals along with the friendly local people living there can help you learn a lot about their culture, traditions, and their basic lifestyle. Overnight in Paudwar.
Today we will descend further to Tatopani, situated on the bank of Kali Gandaki River. From Tatopani, we will drive back to Pokhara, concluding the trek in the foothills of Annapurna. In Pokhara, we will rest at the hotel for a while and later go out for dinner at one of Pokhara’s happening places. Overnight at the hotel in Pokhara.
We will explore the City of Lakes today, where we will visit International Mountain Museum, Bat Cave full of hanging bats, Mahendra Cave, World Peace Stupa, Davis Falls, Begnas Lake, and so many more popular places. Pokhara has the tremendous amount of hidden places whose beauty and history is very rich and diverse. If you wish, you can also do boating in Phewa Lake under the shade of Annapurna massif and Machhapuchhre (6997m). We will stay overnight in Pokhara.
Today we will drive back to Kathmandu following the picturesque trail of Prithvi Highway. Many settlements will be crossed en route before entering the capital city. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we will transfer you to the hotel. You can spend a relaxing evening at any restaurant or cafe nearby your hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
You will explore Kathmandu city today. You can visit the vibrant monuments of Boudhanath, Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square, which are all UNESCO world heritage sites inside Kathmandu city. These places have a long history and will let you observe the beautiful Nepalese architecture. You can shop some Nepali goodies and souvenirs for your family and friends back home from the places you visit. You will stay overnight at the hotel.
