Itinerary

The trip begins with your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu. Our company representative will welcome you at the airport, and then you will be transferred to the hotel for your overnight stay.

After breakfast, you head to the airport and fly to Lukla. Flying over the high mountains and enjoying the views of the vivid landscapes, you reach Lukla and then start trekking. The trail descends and gradually passes the large village of Chauri Kharka. After Kusum Drargka, the trail crosses Dudh Koshi River and takes you to Phakding. Overnight at lodge.

The trail takes you through a beautiful pine forest to reach Monjo, where you check your permits at the entry point of Sagarmatha National Park. After descending to the Dudh Koshi River, you cross the Hilary suspension bridge and make a challenging climb to reach Namche. From Namche, you can catch the first glimpse of Mt. Everest (8848m). Day 4 is dedicated to acclimatization, where you hike to Khumjung and Khunde villages. You’ll visit landmarks such as the Everest View Hotel, Khunde Community Hospital, and experience Sherpa culture. Return to Namche for an overnight stay. This acclimatization day is crucial to prevent altitude sickness while making the most of your time in the Everest region.

Today, we will stay in Namche Bazaar for acclimatization. To acclimatize better, we’ll embark on a short hike to Khumjung and Khunde villages. Along the way, we’ll visit the renowned Everest View Hotel, offering breathtaking views of the Everest panorama. In Khumjung, we’ll explore the Khumjung Monastery, which houses the displayed Yeti skull. We’ll then ascend to Khunde village to visit the Khunde Community Hospital. Afterward, we’ll descend back to Namche in the evening. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

The trail is straight until reaching Kyangjuma and then drops down to meet Dudh Koshi River. After crossing a suspension bridge, you hike up the long hill to reach Tengboche. There, you visit the ancient Tengboche Monastery, which is the biggest and most sacred monastery in the Khumbu region. Overnight at lodge.

You continue trekking through the rhododendron and birch forests until reaching the suspension bridge near Pangboche. After crossing the bridge, you climb the steep trail until reaching Pangboche village. The trail then continues through the pasturelands and follows the upstream trail of Imja Khola before arriving in Dingboche. Overnight at lodge.

Trekking from here on becomes more challenging due to the increasing altitude. After a steep walk to the top of a high hill, you pass Dughla. Here are many memorial stupas dedicated to the climbers and trekkers who lost their lives to Everest. The next part of the trek brings you over the craggy mountain terrain to the small settlement of Lobuche. From here, you can see amazing views of Mt. Lobuche East (6145m) and Mt. Nuptse (7861m). Overnight at lodge.

You continue the trek ascending on the left bank of Khumbu Glacier and make a steep climb to reach Changri Glacier. Then you descend to Gorakshep and take some rest. After lunch at Gorakshep, you hike to Kala Patthar viewpoint. From Kala Patthar (5550m), you can enjoy a magnificent sunset view along with the panoramic views of Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8414m), Nuptse (7861m), and many other mountain peaks. After spending some time here, you trek back to Gorakshep for the overnight stay.

Today you head towards the Everest Base Camp. The trail passes through rocky dunes and moraines until you reach the base camp of the mighty Everest (8848m). From the base camp, you witness the majestic snowcapped mountains up close, including the giant face of Mount Everest (8848m). After spending some time at the base camp, you trek back to Pheriche via Gorakshep, Lobuche, and Dughla. Overnight at lodge.

You follow Imja Khola downstream and pass many Sherpa hamlets and monasteries as you leave Pheriche village for Phorche. The mountains keep you company throughout the trek. Shortly visiting Pangboche Monastery and Thakri Gompa, you reach Phorche village, situated just above the confluence of Dudh Koshi River and Imja Khola. Overnight at lodge.

You make a long descent to Dudh Koshi River and then cross it on a simple plank bridge. Then you start a steady climb up to Mong La, the birthplace of Lama Sange Dorje, and descend to join the main Everest trail which leads to Namche Bazaar through Mani walls and Sherpa hamlets. Overnight at lodge.

This is the last day of trekking. You leave Namche Bazaar behind and trek downhill through the forest alongside Dudh Koshi River to exit Sagarmatha National Park. From Monjo, the trail descends along the valley which becomes more enclosed as you pass the village of Bengkar to reach Phakding. Overnight at lodge.

It will be a short descent along the terraced farmlands of rice and barley to reach Lukla from Phakding. Passing a few villages with the backdrop of Kusum Khangkaru (6367m), we will reach the small village of Lukla. We will have a lot of free time in Lukla, so you can enjoy a leisurely stroll around the town. Overnight in Lukla.

Today we take a scenic flight from Lukla Airport to Kathmandu. Enjoying the last sights of the high Himalayas, we arrive back in the bustling Kathmandu city. On reaching Kathmandu, we will transfer you to the hotel. You can rest for a while and then head out to stretch your legs. Overnight at the hotel.
