Overview

Khopra Mohore Trekking

Khopra Mohare Trekking is a less crowd and less traveled trek in this Annapurna area. This trekking route offers the true experience of trekking in the nature with busty forests, verities of vegetation, wildlife and older kinds of villages. Khopra Mohare Trekking provides a glimpse of local lifestyle, off the beaten Landscapes, beautiful terraced fiend, snow-covered mountains to see. Khopra Mohare Trekking is ideal choice for children trekkers, too.

Khopra Mohare Trekking is the combination of two easy trekking routes- Khopra Danda Trekking and Mohore Danda Trekking. We suggest you this trekking as an alternative expanded trekking of Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking. Because, Khopra Mohare Trekking offers more beautiful sceneries than that the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking offers. However, this trek generally takes you in higher altitude than the Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking. It allows us to have an experience of breathtaking views of panoramic himalaya’s from Khopra Hill, Mohare Danda and from Mulde Viewpoint. While that’s the case, it also allows trekkers to visit Poonhill and the best view point of Muldai or Mulde (3637 m) which are also a great viewpoint to explore while Khopra Mohare Trekking.

Khopra Mohare Trekking is located in Annapurna Trekking Region.  It is about 50 kilo meters far from Pokhara in air distance to the north of city-  Pokhara. This trek allows trekkes to explore less visited trekking routes like Purnagaon, Sasardhara and Nagi village. During this Khopra Mohare Treking, you will get a chance to spend a night with the local family at Purnagaon in Home Stay. For most of time, you will get this trail less crowdy than another regular Trekking routes in the annapurna regions. So, it allows to stay even a short days away from crowd. The trek has a showcase of variety of landscapes, Bamboo forest, Rhododendron Forest, warmth hospitality of local hosts and you will stop in community lodges about a couple of nights. One of the highlights of Khopra Mohare Trekking is the opportunity to be on the top of four mountain viewpoints.

Regarding the altitude during this trekking, Khopra Hill is in 3360 m whereas, the Mohare Danda or Mohare Hill is in 3313 m. The difficulty of Khopra Mohare Trekking is moderate level of challenge. This makes it an ideal trekking destination for those who want to enjoy the beauty of the Annapurna by climbing not too high. The trek also includes to get bathe in the natural hot spring at Jhinu Danda if you remodel the itinerary.
Khopra Mohare Trekking is the combination of natural beauty and cultural experience of the region in a unique way.

Best time for Khopra Mohare Trekking

The best times to go on the Khopra Mohare Trekking are spring and autumn.

Spring Season: This is a lovely time for the Khopra and Mohare area. The forests are green, and colorful rhododendron flowers bloom up. The weather is just perfect. The skies are usually clear and blue. The great mountain views are normally always open. The Primulas cover  the pastures and chirping birds in the forests.

Autumn Season: This is the best and most fantastic time to trek in this region. The weather will be completely stable and warmer days with cool nights. And other hand, autumn season is the festivity time in Nepal. They celebrate some festivals like Dashai and Tihar in Oct-Nov. These two festivals are for Hindu people of the country. You don’t have to worry about rain during these times. It’s really up to your personal preference – whether you like the vibrant colors of spring or the warm autumn charm. Khopra Mohare Trekking promises a memorable adventure in the heart of the Annapurna region during both seasons.

Winter Season: If you’re up for a different experience, you can consider winter trekking. During winter, the whole trail is covered in snow, creating a magical winter wonderland. The trails are less crowded, so you can enjoy the peace and quiet. However, it can get very cold, with temperatures dropping to -8 to -12 degrees at night, and occasional snowfall. You’ll need warm clothes, a good sleeping bag, and a warm jacket. It’s a good idea to trek with an experienced guide who can help you navigate the snowy terrain and ensure your safety.

Solo Trek in Khopra Mohare

The Ministry of Tourism of Nepal has implemented a ban on solo trekking activities in Nepal, including the Khopra Mohare Trekking, it is important to comply with the regulations. Trekking with a licensed trekking guide is necessary to ensure safety and adhere to the guidelines set by the authorities.

A trekking guide can provide valuable and important support during the trek. We know that it will cost much for the clients but, the value of money and the value of life is not the same. What happens the next, we never know. And traveling in the high mountain is still much risky. Crossing unimaginable river, cliffs and terrain is a kind of challenge for everyone. That’s why, the Ministry of Travel and Tourism of Nepal has decided to avoid solo trekkers in Nepal since 2023.

When you are up in the mountains in Nepal, we would suggest you to be ready for anything. Weather forecasts for Lukla are never correct and different sources will give you different information. If it is a really bad day in terms of weather, the airlines will themselves cancel the flight and you might have to wait till the weather clears. Yes, flying in high altitude is never easy, even on a clear sunny day, the plane might face turbulence because of the wind blowing from the mountains. But overall the flight to Lukla is very exciting and it’s an experience that you will never forget.
