Panorama Family Trekking

Panorama Family Trekking is a short and easy trek in the Annapurna region of Nepal, which is perfect for families with young children. This trekking route leads us through some traditional villages of ethnic group of Gurung and Magar. There are some people from another caste system family which are normally Brahmins and Chhetri. There are some villages which are very famous villages- the Ghandruk and Landruk Gurung villages. These both villages are Gurung ethnic family villages. So, Gurung is one ethnic group of Nepal. Gurung people are very famous in British Gorkhas Regiment because of their bravery. On the way to Panorama Family Trekking, we pass through another beautiful place- the Australian camp, offes a mind-blowing mountain views, views over Pokhara city. Specially, we’ll be surrounded by white snowcapped views of Annapurna South (7219 m), Hiuchuli (6441 m), Machhapuchre (6993 m), and Mardi Himal, Dhaulagiri I (8167 m) which are the major attractions of the Panorama Family Trekking. This trekking is a perfect for young children or low paced trekkers who want to explore the beauty of the Annapurna region Trekking.

This Panorama Family Trekking is designed for Children Trekking which crosses Naypul, Banthati, Ghorepani-Poon Hill, Tadapani and Ghandruk-Landruk Villages in the Annapurna region of Nepal. It offers a short and easy trekking route that is perfect for families with younger children. The trek passes through different villages to offer a glimpse giant Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains chains, local culture and way of living in daily life of local people from this region.

As you trek through the winding paths, you will pass through some particular villages such as Ghandruk Gurung village, Landruk Gurung village, and the Australian camp. The trek offers a spectacular view of the Annapurna South, standing tall at 7219 meters, Hiuchuli at 6441 meters, the holy mountain Machhapuchre at 6996 meters, Mardi Himal, and many other attractions of the Nepal Himalayas. The the typical settlement of the Gurung village at Ghandruk, Typical Magar Village of Ulleri and modernized junction of Ghorepani villages, rituals of local people and religions of the ethnic groups will be seen during this trekking.

Panorama Family Trekking Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Nepal in Kathmandu!
Arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal. Welcomed at the airport of Kathmandu! We transfer to hotel. A short talk about the entire trekking and program.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Pokhara.
After breakfast, either take a domestic flight or drive to Pokhara. If we take land transpiration to Pokhara, it will be enjoyable drive which offers glimpses of rural life and varied landscapes. Upon reaching Pokhara, check into your hotel and have some free time to explore the lakeside area.

Day 3: Pokhara to Ulleri (2,020 meters)
After breakfast, take a scenic drive to Nayapul, the starting point of the trek. From Nayapul, start your trek to Ulleri, a beautiful village situated at an altitude of 2,020 meters. The trail passes through the charming villages. It provides a glimpse of the stunning Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) mountains.

Day 4: Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,860 meters)
Today, we hike from Ulleri to Ghorepani. It gradually ascends through rhododendron and Oak forests. During the spring season, Rhododendron and Orchids bloom up. Ghorepani offers spectacular views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges.

Day 5: Hike to Poon Hill (3,210 meters) – Back to Ghorepani – Trek to Dobato (3,350 meters)
Early in the morning, hike up to Poon Hill to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayas. Poon Hill, a vantage point at 3,210 meters, mesmerizes trekkers with its spellbinding panoramas of the majestic Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges.. After capturing the mesmerizing views, return to Ghorepani for breakfast and then continue the trek to Dobato, where you’ll spend the night.

Day 6: Dobata to Tadapani (2,590 meters)
Trek from Chistibung to Tadapani, which offers more breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains. The Stunning views of Mt Annapurna-Southa, Hiuchuli and Machhapuchhre from here.

Day 7: Tadapani to Ghandruk Village (1,940 meters)
Continue the trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk, a beautiful Gurung village with traditional houses and rich cultural heritage.

Day 8: Ghandruk to Landruk Village (1,565 meters)
Today, trek to Landruk Village which is another beautiful settlement with a unique charm.
Day 9: Landruk to Australian Camp (2,050 meters) – Drive to Pokhara
On the last day of the trek, hike up to Australian Camp and enjoy the stunning views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. From Australian Camp, take a bus back to Pokhara.

Day 10: Sightseeing in Pokhara.
Today, the for exploring the natural and cultural wonders of Pokhara. Boating in beautiful Phewa Lake, visit to the famous Davis Falls, the peaceful Peace Pagoda etc.

Day 11: Pokhara to Kathmandu transfer.
Choose your mode of transport – a scenic drive or a swift domestic flight – and journey back to Kathmandu. We explore in the vibrant city Kathmandu by visiting the UNESCO sites.
Day 12: Departure from Kathmandu.
Smoothly after final preparation of your full luggage, we take you to International Airport of Kathmandu for your final departure from Nepal.

The best time of Panorama Family Trekking is still best from March to May and End of September to March. During the monsoon (July to end of September) is not exactly recommended much. Becuase of challenging weather condition, Leeches as an irritating insect or animal. The rainfall also a cause for not advice to do this trekking.
